Shopping Carts and Online Payments

E-commerce

Even if you don't have a specific product to sell you may want to take online payments - a subscription site for example

Nowadays, it is much easier than you might think to incorporate a shopping basket and an online payment facility into your site

There are many ways that you can take payments online but two of the most popular are listed below

  • Worldpay - Offers several types of account for all sizes of business but you'll pay a set up fee and an annual fee as well as a percentage per transaction. Typically used by larger web sites.
  • Paypal - Typically the choice of smaller and start up businesses as there are no upfront or ongoing fees. The percentage per transaction however is higher than Worldpay - about 3.5% plus a 20p charge per transaction.

Over the last few years we've worked on projects which use Paypal, Google Checkout, Worldpay, Sagepay, HSBC, ePDQ and Cardsave.

As we have done quite a few integrations, we don't need to start from scratch so you'll find the cost is very reasonable. Remember also that our content management system can include an e-commerce module if needed
